Frequently asked questions

Here you can find answers to many questions about our products and manufacturing processes.

Are your razors sustainable?

Yes, our razors are sustainable. They have been certified by TÜV Austria and are based on a renewable raw material that is 99% biobased. In addition, it is 99% CO2-neutral, regardless of which method of disposal is chosen, even during incineration, which is particularly important because compact bio-based raw materials are recycled virtually through incineration. In addition, TÜV Rheinland has carried out a thorough certification test that our razors are plastic-free except for the steel blades, the steel handle of the system razors and the spacers.

How can I order a razor online?

Ordering our razors is easy! Visit our configurator and choose the razor that meets your requirements. Optionally, choose other upgrades, such as extra razor blades. You will then be taken directly to the checkout, where you can enter your contact details and choose a secure payment method.

Can I get the best price on your website?

That is correct and is because we can offer you all prices on our website without dealer margins.

Do you also deliver internationally?

Of course. However, this may result in other delivery costs!

How long do your razor blades last?

We rely on first-class Swedish steel for our blades so that they are not only of high quality but also particularly durable. This allows you to shave many times with our blade heads.

Do you offer refunds?

No, as these are hygiene products. If you want to know more about this, have a look at our terms and conditions.

What are your razors made of?

The raw materials used for our disposable razors and system razor blade heads are all renewable, i.e. biobased and are obtained from industrial waste. This means that there is no targeted cultivation of our bio-based raw materials just for us. In simple terms, our material is organic waste.

Our material is certified by TÜV Austria with the “OK Biobased” certificate with a maximum of four stars!

The handle of the system razors is made of stainless steel and therefore theoretically has an infinite lifespan.

Why “only” 99% biobased?

This is relatively easy to answer: Laboratory tests according to standard standards are always carried out with a certain degree of possible deviations (tolerances). Therefore, a 100% biobased rating is technically difficult to achieve.

How are the disposable razors disposed of?

Dispose of the disposable razor with household waste.

This method is also the much more sustainable disposal of the recyclable steel contained in the razor. In this disposal route, the steel blades are separated from the razor, recycled and reused. The remaining, bio-based parts of the razor are immediately disposed of in a CO2-neutral energy manner, without detours via a composting plant. The resulting CO2-neutral energy is supplied, for example, to produce bio-electricity. In addition, this does not produce landfill waste or microplastics. In other words, all-round sustainable and user-friendly, simple disposal.

Does the razor require special care?

Our razors are built to last and require no special care. However, as with any product, their shelf life depends on how often you use it. They are resistant to moisture, which significantly extends their lifespan.

How are the cartridges disposed of?

For the first time, you can also dispose of the blade heads completely carefree in household waste. To ensure that you can safely dispose of the blades of our system razor, we have developed special protective caps for the blade heads. After the end of use, simply place it on the blade head and remove it from the handle. Now dispose of the well-protected blade heads safely in household waste.

Why are you claiming 99% sustainability?

It is important to us to transparently demonstrate the sustainability of our material. In contrast to other manufacturers, our material is certified by TÜV Austria with the highest classification of 4 stars in accordance with EN 16640. This means that we are 99% sustainable because 99% of our material is actually 99% biobased and certified. Other allegedly sustainable products often only use 30-50% sustainable materials and therefore omit precise information.

Why do you refrain from using the gel strip?

We are convinced that high-quality blades and shaving cream are enough for a smooth shave. That is why we do not use gel strips in all our products. Gel strips are not only useless, but also contain questionable, sometimes toxic substances that damage the skin and cause irritation, such as polyethylene glycols or PEG. Better known as microplastics. And that really has no place on your freshly shaved skin!

What is the difference between fossil and bio-based plastic?

Fossil plastic is based on crude oil, while our 99% bio-based material consists of renewable raw materials that are produced as waste products from other industries. This saves fossil resources and reduces environmental impact. After use, our material can be easily disposed of in household waste. During incineration - where all shaving products should end up, by the way - is 99% less CO₂ released due to the bio-based materials than fossil plastic.

Are your materials biodegradable?

In principle, our biobased material is biodegradable. But unlike many manufacturers, we deliberately do not emphasize this point. Why Because biodegradability does not mean that products can be safely disposed of in nature. It is important to dispose of bio-based products correctly to protect the environment. Biodegradability is a good feature, but it should never be understood as an invitation to carelessly throw things away. Household waste must always be the right place for disposal, as the thermal recycling of our materials releases 99% less CO2 than fossil plastic.
