Your perfect shave with sustainable, bio-based razors — tips & tricks

A thorough and gentle shave is important not only for the face, but also for the body. And the private parts. But more about that later.

With our bio-based razors, which are made from 99% sustainable materials, you can protect both your skin and the environment. Our razors are durable and require no special care. Find out how to achieve a perfect and sustainable shave here.

Preparing the skin and razor

Before you starts shaving, thorough skin preparation is crucial. Clean your face and body with warm water and — if you want — a mild cleanser to remove dirt and excess oil. A gentle scrub removes dead skin cells and optimally prepares your skin for shaving. Apply a moisturizing shaving cream or gel to soften hair.

Don't forget that the razor should also be prepared. Rinse it off with warm water to remove any residue, and make sure the blade is sharp to prevent skin irritation.

The right shaving technique for face and body

Always start shaving in the direction of hair growth to avoid skin irritation and ingrown hairs. Apply just light pressure and let your razor's sharp blades do the work to prevent cuts and irritation. Work in short, even strokes and rinse the blade after each move. In difficult areas such as the chin and upper lip, it can be helpful to tighten the skin.

Proper care after shaving

After shaving, proper skin care is crucial. Rinse your face and body with cold water to close your pores. Use alcohol-free aftershave or soothing lotion to nourish the skin and minimize redness. Then apply a moisturizing face or body cream to keep skin soft and hydrated.

Intimate shaving: sensitive skin care

Intimate shaving requires special care, as the skin in this area is particularly sensitive. Clean the area with warm water and mild soap. Apply a sensitive shaving cream or gel that is specifically suitable for the genital area. Make sure to shave in the direction of hair growth and use short, gentle strokes. Rinse the blade frequently to ensure a clean shave.

After shaving, it is important to rinse the area with cool water. Avoid tight clothing that could cause friction and allow time for the skin to recover.

Tips for sensitive skin

For sensitive skin, it is particularly important to use gentle products. Choose shaving creams and gels that are specifically designed for sensitive skin and contain soothing ingredients such as aloe vera. Test new products on a small area of skin to avoid allergic reactions. Change your razor's blade regularly to minimize skin irritation, and take time to shave to avoid cuts and irritation.

By the way, we are convinced that high-quality blades and shaving cream are sufficient for a smooth shave. That is why we do not use gel strips in all our products. Gel strips are not only useless, but also contain questionable, sometimes toxic substances that damage the skin and cause irritation, such as polyethylene glycols or PEG. Better known as microplastics. And that really has no place on your freshly shaved skin!

Why Razeco

Razeco razors are sustainable and environmentally friendly. We deliberately avoid using gel strips so as not to pollute the skin with unnecessary chemical substances. Despite their sustainable design, our razors require no special care and are durable - even in a humid bathroom or when traveling. Combine a thorough shave with an environmentally friendly lifestyle with your Razeco. In addition, there is no environmental damage if you regularly change your Razeco blades or disposable razors and dispose of them with household waste.
